SuVon and Siana Treece are two sisters who share a passion for the arts. Together they established Artistic Expressions Gallery in 2008 as a way to expand their audience and continue to share their common gift with others. While their styles are individually unique, these sisters love the use of bright rich colors and share a goal of developing art that evokes emotion and is aesthetically pleasing.
In addition to their online gallery, the Treece sisters have had continued success with their personal exhibitions where they not only showcase their own talents, but also provide a platform for local artists to display their works. Artistic Expressions Gallery also gives back to the community by selecting a charity to donate a portion of all their event proceeds to. Some of the charities that have benefited from A.E. Gallery’s success are Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Detroit, Alternatives for Girls and The Rhonda Walker Foundation. “While it’s great to have a successful event to make money for your organization, it’s even more rewarding to give back to the community in whatever way you can,” says Siana. Some of their past exhibitions have included their debut show at the Hotel St. Regis in 2008, An Evening of Art, Literature & Charity at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History (CHWMAAH) in 2010, The 2nd Evening of Art, Literature & Charity at the CHWMAAH in 2011 and A Fine Arts Affair in 2012 also at the CHWMAAH.
